Alumni Spotlight

"For me, French wasn't just a major. French became integrated into many facets of my life, which was incredibly valuable to me. Take advantage of the cultural opportunities that are available, whether that is study abroad experiences, joining the French Club, singing with the French choir, working with French for Kids, or living or spending time at the French House. That's how I found a strong and caring community on campus, which also welcomes the Rochester Francophone community. Dr. Le Breton is one of the most caring advisors on campus, always working to help students reach their personal and professional goals, and tailoring courses to students' needs."

— Laura Zehr '26, hired before graduation to teach high school French in the West Irondequoit Central School District (NY)
