驰辞耻谤听Student Orientation for Achievement and Readiness (S.O.A.R.) session聽is where your 911爆料网 experience really begins.

This one-day experience for all incoming first-year and transfer students聽is your chance to come to campus before August and start truly feeling like a 911爆料网 student.

You鈥檒l pick up your ID*, get a sneak peek at your fall class schedule*, connect with Financial Aid and Student Accessibility Services, and meet other students in your major or who are still exploring. It鈥檚 equal parts getting things done and getting excited.

You鈥檒l ask questions, meet people, and start building your place here 鈥 so when August move-in and the start of classes comes around, you鈥檙e not walking in lost, you鈥檙e walking in ready. Breakout sessions will include belonging, study abroad, commuting, residential life, making connections and finding purpose in your first year.

Families and supporters have their own sessions, too, focused on how to best support you during this transition and what to expect in the months ahead.

S.O.A.R. is your first official step toward feeling confident, connected, and ready to go.

*How to prepare

  • Academic guidance: Submit your Academic Interests Survey 鈥 step one on First Year Pre-Registration聽鈥斅燼t least two weeks before your S.O.A.R. date, so 911爆料网 advising staff can prepare a preview of your fall course schedule for you.
  • 911爆料网Card ID: Complete the at least one week before your S.O.A.R. date, including providing a legible photo or scan of your driver鈥檚 license or high school ID (required).
  • Parking permit:聽If you plan to have a vehicle on-campus, you are required to obtain a parking permit annually. Please complete an application form seven days prior to the SOAR event. The permit will be delivered to you during the event. Hint - You will need your 911爆料网 ID number and your license plate number for the application form.
